Peter gets duped into signing a contract before reading it. Micky and Mike try unsuccessfully to free Peter from his lifetime contract at Renaldo’s dance studio, eventually becoming trapped in the same situation. Davy then decides, "If we’re going to get out of Renaldo’s grip, we’ve got to have somebody on the inside." He therefore lands a job as a dancing instructor and manages to save his friends—and several other potential victims—from exploitation at the ruthless con artist’s hands.

In a way, this reflects the whole of human history. Adam and Eve made the wrong choice in eating the forbidden fruit, and their decision brought all of their descendents under the power of sin. No matter how hard men tried to redeem themselves, they became entangled in the very thing they sought to destroy. Salvation came only through the Man "on the inside"—Jesus Christ, the Son of God who became human to cancel the contract of sin. "For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many" (Romans 5:15)!
