Monkees Get Out More Dirt
Back Home Up Next

In this episode, the guys learn the hard way the difference between infatuation and true love. All four of them fall for April, and each does everything within his power to win her affections for himself. In doing so, they unwittingly damage their relationship with each other and cause April heartache by making it impossible to choose among them. Once they realize this, they decide to arbitrarily choose who gets to keep April and abide by their decision in spite of their personal feelings. Appropriately, Peter, who had been the most honest about his feelings, wins the shoot. The other three do their best to help Peter get the girl, only to have everyone’s feelings hurt when April capriciously falls for another musician. See I Corinthians 13 for a description of true love.
